Shree Cement Bestowed with “State-Level Bhamashah Award 2025”

Shree Cement Limited, one of India’s leading cement manufacturers and a company deeply committed to sustainable development and inclusive growth, has been conferred the “State-Level Bhamashah Award 2025” by the Government of Rajasthan for its outstanding contribution to community education. The company’s plants at Ras, Beawar, and Nawalgarh were recognised for their exemplary efforts. Notably, the Ras unit received the award for the tenth consecutive year—an exceptional achievement in the industry.

The award, presented under the “Shiksha Bhushan Samman” category, was conferred by Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, at a ceremony held today in Jaipur. The event was also graced by the presence of Shri Premchand Bairwa, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan; Shri Madan Dilawar, Hon’ble Minister for School Education, Sanskrit, and Panchayati Raj; Shri Sitaram Jat, Director of the Department of Primary Education and Panchayati Raj; and other dignitaries from the education sector, along with fellow Bhamashahs.

During the ceremony, Shri Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his appreciation to all Bhamashahs and underscored the vital role of public-private partnerships in enhancing the quality of education across government schools in the state.

On the occasion, Mr. Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement Limited, said, “At Shree Cement, we believe that building sustainable communities is fundamental to responsible business. Through structured, long-term initiatives across education, healthcare, agriculture, skill development, and more, we are committed to driving holistic development around our plants. It’s heartening to see how our support in local schools is creating better learning environments and transforming lives.”

The award was received on behalf of Shree Cement by Shri Vishal Bhardwaj, Joint Vice President (CSR); Shri J.K. Purohit, HR Head – Ras Plant; Shri Vishal Jaiswal, CSR Head – Ras Plant; Shri Nishant Gaur from the Nawalgarh Plant; along with Mr. Amit Tak and Mr. Manoj Biyani from the CSR team at the Beawar Plant.

The recognition reflects the Shree Cement’s sustained and impactful efforts in supporting government schools in the region. These include construction of classrooms, water tanks, toilets, boundary walls, and various repair works. In addition, Shree Cement has also conducted tree plantation drives and cleanliness awareness programmes, distributed stationery and furniture to thousands of students, and provided financial aid for academic activities.

These initiatives reaffirm Shree Cement’s conviction that education is the cornerstone of social progress and development.
