What Is the ‘Mystery Device’ on Deepinder Goyal’s Forehead? Zomato CEO Reveals Brain Monitoring Tech ‘Temple’ After Raj Shamani Podcast Appearance?

Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has triggered a wave of online speculation after a small device seen on his forehead during his appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast — “Deepinder Goyal: Zomato, 10-Min Delivery, Founder Mindset & Business in India | FO453” went viral across social media platforms.
<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>Coming soon. <br><br>Follow <a href=”https://twitter.com/temple?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@temple</a> for more updates. <a href=”https://t.co/E7S8NeUDP4″>pic.twitter.com/E7S8NeUDP4</a></p>— Deepinder Goyal (@deepigoyal) <a href=”https://twitter.com/deepigoyal/status/1997579981309030605?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>December 7, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>
Clips from the podcast, which focused on Zomato’s journey, 10-minute delivery bets, and Goyal’s founder mindset, quickly shifted attention to the unusual device, with users referring to it as a “mystery device” and debating its purpose.
Goyal has since clarified that the device is part of an experimental health-tech product called “Temple,” a brain blood flow monitoring device currently under development.
In a series of posts earlier, Goyal explained that Temple is an experimental, non-invasive device designed to calculate brain blood flow accurately, in real time, and on a continuous basis. He noted that the device was developed during his research into what he calls the “Gravity Ageing Hypothesis.”
In posts shared on November 15, Goyal described the hypothesis as “scientific yet unconventional,” suggesting that gravity may play a more direct role in human ageing than traditionally understood.
“I’m not sharing this as the CEO of Eternal, but as a fellow human, curious enough to follow a strange thread,” Goyal wrote. “Newton gave us a word for it. Einstein said it bends spacetime. I am saying gravity shortens lifespan.”
On Sunday, Goyal further amplified interest by posting a “Coming Soon” update along with an image of the device, confirming that Temple is approaching launch. The post drew mixed reactions, with some applauding the exploration of longevity science and others questioning the scientific basis of the claims.
Explaining what sparked his interest, Goyal said he has spent years experimenting with health optimisation—tracking blood markers, fasting, training, meditation, ice baths, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and supplements.
