Smarter Homes, Lower Bills: Tata Power Introduces AI-Enabled EZ Home Automation in Ajmer
Ajmer, 28th July 2026: Tata Power launched its EZ Home Automation Solutions in the city, bringing simple, app-based smart home technology electricity savings to households across the city.
With Tata Power EZ Home, residents can control lights, fans, air conditioners and other appliances right from their phone — or with a simple voice command via Alexa or Google Assistant. The system includes smart sockets, touch panel switches, retrofittable converters and motion sensors that fit into existing homes without any rewiring, drilling or construction — making it just as useful for older homes and rented flats as new ones.
How much can you actually save?
Parameter Estimated Annual Impact (Typical Household**)
Electricity Consumption Reduction Approx. 20% annually
Units of Electricity Saved 1,300+ units per year
Estimated Bill Savings Approx. ₹10,000 annually
Carbon Emissions Offset Roughly 1.1 tonnes CO₂ per year
Environmental Equivalent ≈ 15 trees planted annually
* Savings and efficiency estimates are indicative and may vary based on appliance usage, household consumption patterns, size of home and local electricity tariffs
**Based on a household operating air conditioner, refrigerator, fan, geyser, and washing machine
For a typical urban household running multiple high-usage appliances, EZ Home can cut annual electricity consumption by around 15%, translating to savings of over 1,300 units of electricity and roughly ₹10,000 a year, with some households able to save up to 20% on their power bills. Much of this comes from smarter usage of high-power intensive appliance like air conditioner, geysers etc: automated scheduling and usage insights reduce unnecessary cooling and excessive runtime. For a city like Ajmer, where prolonged summers often result in higher cooling requirements and increased residential electricity usage, smart automation can play a meaningful role in improving energy efficiency. Intelligent air conditioner optimisation, occupancy-based controls and appliance scheduling help minimise avoidable energy consumption without compromising comfort. As a bonus, the energy saved also offsets close to 1.1 tonnes of CO₂ emissions a year — roughly equivalent to planting 15 trees.
What’s in it for Ajmer homeowners?
• Real-time tracking: Built-in metering lets you monitor exactly how much power each appliance is using, so you can spot and fix wasteful habits.
• Personalised control: Rename devices, set custom schedules, and create the exact smart-home setup that fits your household — from a single room to the whole house.
• Appliance protection: Intelligent overload protection acts like a built-in bodyguard for your ACs, geysers and other power-hungry devices, shutting them down safely during voltage fluctuations or power surges.
• Peace of mind: All EZ Home switches and devices come with a 2-year warranty, backed by Tata Power’s service network.
• No renovation needed: Everything is retrofit-friendly and installs directly onto your existing switchboard.
The launch responds to Ajmer’s growing urbanisation, expanding residential communities and increasing adoption of digital technologies making it an important market for connected living solutions.
The Ajmer rollout is part of Tata Power’s “100 Cities, 1 Purpose” initiative, aimed at bringing easy, safe and energy-efficient smart home technology to cities of every size across India — not just the big metros.
