Manju Sharma of the BJP won in Jaipur city, defeating Pratap Singh Khachariyawas of the Congress by more than 331,000 votes.

The Jaipur constituency comprises eight Assembly segments: Hawamahal, Vidhyadharnagar, Civil Lines, Kishanpole, Adarshnagar, Malviyanagar, Sanganer, and Bagru. Out of these, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) holds six, while the Indian National Congress (INC) holds the remaining two.

**Main Contenders in 2024**

In the 2024 General Elections, the main contenders in Jaipur are BJP’s Manju Sharma and Congress’s Pratap Singh Khachariyawas. Manju Sharma is one of five women candidates fielded by the BJP in Rajasthan, marking the highest representation of women by the party in the state. Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has previously served as the Cabinet Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Consumer Affairs for the government of Rajasthan.

**Past Election Results**

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Ramcharan Bohra won the Jaipur seat with a margin of 430,626 votes, securing 63% of the vote share. He defeated INC’s Jyoti Khandelwal, who received 493,439 votes.

Similarly, in the 2014 elections, Ramcharan Bohra of the BJP won with 863,358 votes and a vote share of 66.47%, defeating Congress’s Dr. Mahesh Joshi, who garnered 324,013 votes.
