Lok Sabha Election 2024 Live: Counting Begins Amid High Stakes Showdown Between BJP and INDIA Alliance, BJP leading in haryana, Rajasthan and MP

UP Lok Sabha Election Results Live Update: Voting was conducted in seven phases for Uttar Pradesh’s 80 Lok Sabha seats. This time, the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress contested the elections together, while the BJP formed alliances with smaller parties. In the 2019 elections, the SP-BSP-RLD coalition existed, and Congress contested alone. Despite the coalition, the SP-BSP only won 15 seats, while the BJP secured 62 seats independently. Additionally, Apna Dal (S) won two seats, and Congress secured one seat.

As of 9 AM, early trends suggest that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the BJP is poised to form the government for a third consecutive term. The BJP has crossed the majority mark of 272 seats. The NDA is leading in 301 seats, while the INDIA alliance is ahead in 174 seats, indicating that the BJP’s goal of 400 seats may not be achieved. Prime Minister Modi is leading in Varanasi, Akhilesh Yadav has an early lead in Kannauj, Rahul Gandhi is ahead in Rae Bareli, Dimple Yadav is leading in Mainpuri, the BJP is ahead in Rampur, and Rajnath Singh is leading in Lucknow. Voting was conducted in seven phases across 543 Lok Sabha seats, with a total of 8,360 candidates’ fates sealed in EVMs. Exit polls had predicted the NDA coalition nearing Modi’s ambitious target of 400 seats, while the INDIA alliance was estimated to reach around 180 seats.

Additionally, results for the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha Assembly elections are being announced alongside the Lok Sabha election results. Counting is taking place for 542 Lok Sabha seats since the BJP candidate in Gujarat’s Surat seat was declared unopposed.

Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 LIVE: Rahul Gandhi is leading in both Wayanad and Rae Bareli. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress seems to be losing ground, leading only in two seats. In Gujarat, Congress is leading in four seats, while the BJP is ahead in 22 seats. Sukanta Majumdar, the BJP’s state unit president, is trailing in Balurghat, West Bengal. Currently, the NDA is leading in 299 seats, and the INDIA alliance is ahead in 182 seats.
