 IIHMR University organised the National Conference on Advancing Healthcare Analytics for Better Health Outcomes

Jaipur, January 23, 2024 : IIHMR University, Jaipur, hosted the National Conference on Advancing Healthcare Analytics for Better Health Outcomes at the university campus in Jaipur. More than 500 delegates attended the conference, including students, academicians, researchers, and industry experts.

Dr. P.R. Sodani, President of IIHMR University, Jaipur, set the tone for the conference while delivering his welcome address. Dr. P.R. Sodani highlighted that IIHMR University has taken the lead in establishing the School of Digital Health to train future leaders in healthcare analytics and offering one of the country’s first MBA (Healthcare Analytics) program. He emphasized that we have learned so many things from COVID-19, especially the use of technology for enhancing accessibility and availability of healthcare services at affordable rates. Dr. Sodani said there is a huge demand for healthcare analytics professionals to lead and manage the fast-growing health sector. The conference had two technical sessions: 1) Digital Transformation of Healthcare in India and 2) Data-driven Healthcare.

Mr. Sanjiv Navangul, Managing Director & CEO of Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited, delivered the keynote address. Mr. Navangul highlighted the critical role of healthcare analytics in shaping better health outcomes. Dr. Sanjay Sood, Project Director – eSanjeevani (National Telemedicine Service), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, explored strategic alliances for excellence in Digital Health, offering a comprehensive understanding of the evolving landscape. Prof. Suptendra Nath Sarbadhikari, an expert in Digital Health and Health Informatics, provided insights into the ongoing digital metamorphosis in Indian healthcare. Maj. Gen. (Dr.) A.K. Singh (Retd.), former Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Health Informatics, shared a transformative journey in healthcare. Dr. Shashi Bhushan Gogia, President of APAMI and S.A.T.H.I., delved into the realm of data-driven healthcare, highlighting its potential and challenges. Mr. Darshit Upadhyay, Co-Founder & VP of Products at Advance Digital Solution, shared his experience on digital health and data-driven healthcare.

Dr. Swapnil Gadhave, Conference Coordinator and Assistant Professor (Digital Health), School of Digital Health, IIHMR University, concluded at the National Conference on Advancing Healthcare Analytics for Better Health Outcomes emerged as a pivotal forum for driving innovation and shaping the future of healthcare in India. The insightful discussions led by industry experts thought leaders and academia underscored the transformative power of healthcare analytics. Participants engaged in insightful discussions, shedding light on crucial topics that shape the future of healthcare in India, including the power of data, strategies for utilizing health data, personalized medicine, and enhanced patient outcomes.
