IHCL DEBUTS IN KANPUR WITH THE SIGNING OF A SELEQTIONS HOTEL

MUMBAI, JULY 22, 2022:Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company,today announced its debut in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh with the signing of a SeleQtions hotel.This Brownfield propertyis a management contract withKudrat Hotels Private Limited.

Commenting on the signing, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL,said, “The signing of this hotel is in line with IHCL’s strategy of being present in India’s key developing cities. A key industrial and financial hub in North India, Kanpur is also known for its historical and spiritual significance owing to its location on the banks of the Ganga. Introducing the SeleQtions brand to the city will boost its hospitality offering for both, business and leisure travellers. We are happy to partner with Kudrat Hotels Pvt. Ltd. for this project.”

The 104-roomSeleQtions hotel is strategically located in Baikunthpur, adjacent to National Highway-91, and will be well connected to Kanpur’s airport and railway station. Located across five acres, it will have an all-day diner and bar. One of the significant features of the hotel will be its expansive banqueting space and meeting rooms spread across 10,500 square feet, the largest in the city. The hotel will also consist of recreational facilities including a swimming pool and gym. It is slated to open in 2025.
