Hindustan Salts Limited Celebrates its 65th Annual Day
Jaipur | 24th April 2023: Hindustan Salts Limited (HSL) celebrated its 65th Annual Day Function with much enthusiasm and vigor. HSL and Sambhar Salt Ltd (SSL) are the only two PSUs of the country producing the salt. The HSL tripled its revenue in the last three years to 80 cr and turned the company in to profitable by reducing all its liabilities.
On this occasion, 12 employees of HSL were felicitated for their contribution towards companies improved performance. To promote company products and establish the synergy with Govt. Of India Companies MoU with two companies i.e NACOF and UDAAN were signed by HSL. The event was graced by the presence of accomplished luminaries, including MP Jaipur Rural, Padma Shree Col Rajyavardhan Rathore and Padma Shree Kavi Dr. Sunil Jogi, Dr Renuka Mishra, Economic Advisor, MHI and Bollywood Actor and Film Director Shri Sharad Kapoor.
Col Rajyavardhan Rathore, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna, AVSM, Arjuna Award, and Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Jaipur (Rural) was invited as the Chief Guest for the event. He said, “Jaipur Rural has an aspirational youth and Jaipur based industries should utilize these talent to grow. I also promise to help HSL in marketing the sambhar lake salt.”
Commodore Kamlesh Kumar, CMD of HSL said, “We operate from Kharaghoda at little run of Kutch in Gujarat, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, Ramnagar in Uttarakhand and Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan. Our landholdings across four states is more than 80,000 acres. We are amongst the maximum landholding PSUs in the country. We transformed the unutilized and partially utilized landholdings into fully operational sites for salut production considering their huge commercial potentials. In last three years, the company took some bold steps and expanded its business in chemicals, solar power, rock salt, mining to be self-reliant and produce the organic salt. These expansions resulted in encouraging and positive results.”
Last year company announced the 6th pay commission for its employees and now plans to bring the 7th pay commission within a year. In 2021 HSL launched six new variant of salt which were branded as Kshar and marketed them on amazon.com and kshar.com.
Padmashree Kavi Dr. Sunil Jogi, a renowned poet, and author was invited as a Special Guest for the occasion. He enthralled the audience with his poetry recitation and shared his valuable insights on the importance of art and culture in society.
The event witnessed the presence of the top management team of HSL, employees, and distinguished guests from various fields.
