EKA ARENA TRANSSTADIA CHOSEN AS THE THRILLING VENUE FOR THE AHMEDABAD RACE OF CEAT INDIAN SUPERCROSS RACING LEAGUE
Pune, January 19, 2024: The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) is thrilled to announce the selection of EKA Arena (formerly The Arena/TransStadia Arena) as the distinguished venue for the Ahmedabad race of the inaugural season. The Ahmedabad race is scheduled to take place on the 11th of February 2024, promising an adrenaline-fueled spectacle of Supercross racing at this state-of-the-art multi-purpose stadium.
EKA Arena, located near Kankaria Lake, is a testament to the vibrant sporting culture of Ahmedabad. Completed and officially opened on 7th October 2016, the stadium stands as a result of a successful public-private partnership between the Government of Gujarat and SE TransStadia, led by entrepreneur Udit Sheth. With a seating capacity of 15,000 in its main football configuration, EKA Arena is known for its versatility, capable of being partitioned into an indoor arena to host various sporting events.

The EKA Arena has been a venue for several major events, including hosting the Kabaddi World Cup in 2016 and serving as the home arena for the Gujarat Giants in the Pro Kabaddi League. Additionally, it made history by hosting the 2019 Intercontinental Cup, marking the first international football matches held at the Arena.
The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League will conclude its thrilling season with the last race scheduled at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on the 25th of February 2024.
