BPCL bags 17 awards at Greentech Quality and Innovation Award 2022
Mumbai, August 27th, 2022: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a ‘Maharatna’ and a Fortune Global 500 Company received multiple awards in various categories at the ‘Greentech Quality & Innovation Awards’, ‘Greentech Environment & CSR Awards’ at a glittering ceremony held in Guwahati, competing against the best from the industry.
These awards acknowledge the outstanding achievements in the areas of Total Quality & Innovation and achieving sustainable goals that minimize carbon footprint, improves environmental protection and creates long-lasting changes for the benefit of the environment we work and live in.
Hon’ble Minister of Environment & Forests, Govt. of Assam Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary and Dr. Arup Kumar Misra, Chairman, Assam State Pollution Control Board presented these awards.
BPCL bagged seventeen prestigious awards in varied business unit categories including R&D Centre, Retail, Lubricants, Mumbai refinery, IS Department and Quality Control Cell, and in seventeen proposed categories, such as; four categories in Product Innovation,three categories in Technology Innovation, two categories in Environmental Innovation, five categories in Process Innovation, Potential Innovation, and Environment Champions.
The Awards honours the efforts of PSUs that have been key to the country’s Research and Development. The winners are decided based on their product and also based on their professional presentations. Both presented the jury with a high level of details, based on facts and figures and a very concrete insight into their product, company and business plans.
Greentech Quality & Innovation Awards have been instituted to encourage and motivate to boost improvements and implementation of processes in manufacturing processes / service delivery aligned to stake-holders.These are presented to the organization for their outstanding contribution in the field.
