Vi Foundation Brings Gurushala Virtual Winter Camp to keep school kids engaged during the holidays and help them learn new skills

Mumbai, 4th January 2023 : As a follow-up to the Online Gurushala Summer Camp 2023, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across India, Vi Foundation, the CSR arm of leading Telecom operator, Vi, is organizing a Seven Day Winter Camp during the Winter Break. The Camp seeks to keep the Nation’s school-going students engaged and busy with activities and aid their learning curve and thinking abilities, even while they have fun.

Vi Foundation’s Gurushala Online Winter Camp will be conducted each day in two slots between 11:30 am-12:30 pm and 06:00 pm-07:00 pm from04to 10January for students from standard 6 to 9.

Students from any part of India can join the Gurushala Winter Camp at no cost and participate in fun and interactive sessions conducted by experts. The Camp’s sessions include ‘Fun with English’ where children can learn English through Games and Practice sessions. Through the ‘Theatre’ sessions, students can learn creative and confidence-gaining techniques to express challenging social scenarios and vulnerable emotions in a safe and supportive environment. The ‘Fun with Fitness’ session includes activities such as Dance, Zumba and Yoga that will help students get necessary muscular momentum and stay active during the holidays. The ‘Kabad se Jugad’ class will educate Gurushala students on using old newspaper, bangles, wool, plastic bottles etc. to make creative materials like hangings, decorations, coasters, bookmarks, photo frames. The sessions will show Children how to carry out simple experiments from everyday material available in their homes. 

The Gurushala winter camp will be culminated with a virtual competition among select students on the above themes and additional topics around general awareness. Winning and participative students will be recognized and awarded with prizes.
