Over 355 artists from across the country register for the exhibition of Kalavritt and Gallery Art

Kalavritt and Gallery Art are organizing an exhibition in New York City, USA, to provide an international platform for Indian artists to showcase their rich art styles and contemporary depictions.

Kalavritt’s President, Sandeep Sumahendra, said that a total of 758 applications was received from across the country, out of which 359 artists were selected online for this exhibition including 34 artists from Rajasthan in the recently ended online registration.

A four-member selection committee will now select the outstanding paintings based on their style, subject matter, communication, and the influence of Indian art. The list of selected artists for the exhibition will be released on September 20, 2024, and the selected artists will be informed through social media and personally.

On the special request of Kalavritt, Gallery Art’s CEO Devang Bhatt and Chairman Shaikh Shakoor have graciously expressed their gratitude and thanks to the senior artists associated with the exhibition.

The winners will be awarded a first prize of ₹2 lakh, a second prize of ₹1 lakh, and a third prize of ₹75,000, along with a certificate and a memento. Besides this, 7 consolation prizes of ₹10,000, certificates, and mementos will also be awarded. This award ceremony will be held in December in Jaipur after the exhibition. All other participating artists will be given digital certificates.

After the selection committee’s decision, selected artists will be asked to submit one original painting for the exhibition, which will be displayed at a prestigious art gallery in New York City, USA. Since this is the first exhibition under the joint aegis of Kalavritt and Gallery Art, no fee has been charged from the artists for sending and returning the paintings. All expenses are being borne by Gallery Art, USA. Artists will have to pay a 30% commission to Gallery Art on the prescribed sale price of their paintings. The payment will be made online to the artists within 8-10 days of the sale.
