It is likely to intensify into an extremely severe cyclonic storm in the next 12 hours. The IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has suspended all the fishing operations alongside the coast to prevent any casualties. We appeal the people to be safe and follow the information given by the authorities and to venture out only if necessary.
