Dr. Sara George Muthoot honored with Mar Athanasios Excellence Award for exceptional contribution in the field of Education

New Delhi, 27 August 2022: Dr. Sara George Muthoot, Director- St. George’s School & Paul George Global School was awarded the Excellence Award instituted in the memory of His Grace Thomas Mar Athanasios, who was the Metropolitan of Chengannur Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The award was given in recognition of her sincere commitment and service in shaping the Nation’s Educational Policies and Reforms.

The Award was jointly handed over by His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, The Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan and the Governor of Goa – Shri. P.S.Sreedharan Pillai at Chengannur Bethel Aramana on 23rd August 2022. His Grace Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios presided over the function. 

With a doctorate in Philosophy, Dr. Sara George Muthoot is a Director of the governing boards of many reputed educational institutions including St. George’s School, Paul George Global School, Alaknanda, NewDelhi. She has been recognized for her outstanding services in the field of education for more than three decades. Her significantcontribution in academics and social welfare has transformed the lives of millions of students and empowered them to complete their formal education.

Throughout her journey she has been an achiever and bestowed with many notable awards for her achievements. Earlier Dr. Sara George Muthoot was chosen as Education Icon of the Year 2021 by Education Today, Bangalore. She was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the India International Conclave Education D’Eminence 2022 at New Delhi.
